SAFEGUARD is located in American Fork, Utah. our transition services are currently available in Northern California. We have the capability to transport teens across the entire United States. SAFEGUARD was developed for the purpose of making change in the lives of those youth that have experienced difficulties. Our provision of services is based on certain beliefs. These beliefs include the basic value and worth of each family and respect for the teen.

SAFEGUARD is a company owned and operated by Dana Cox, M.S.W. and Jay McDonald, M.S, Behavioral Analyst. We believe a human services company owned and operated by masters’ level professionals enables us to provide assessment and supportive counseling for the family and client during a difficult time.

Owners

Jay McDonald has been working in the Human Services field since 1989. He holds a Masters Degree in the Education field and is a PART-R (Professional Assault Response Training – Revised) certified instructor. Jay has extensive experience in the residential treatment setting, non-public school setting and is currently employed as a behavior analyst in a public school setting in northern California

Dana Cox has been working in the human service field since 1990. He holds a masters degree in social work. Dana is a certified PART-R instructor and has extensive training in counseling and behavior management. His work experience has been in private and public agencies including as a therapist in a residential treatment facility. He has extensive experience in the substance abuse field.
